Hotel Okura to Open a Hotel in Resorts World Manila in 2018

Proposed Hotel Okura ManilaHotel Okura which is known as one of the largest and most successful hotel chains in Japan is in the plan of a new hotel in Resorts World Manila in 2018. This modern hotel will comprise of 380 rooms with state of the art features.

Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. which is the owner and promoter of Resorts World Manila has agreed with Hotel Okura recently. Under this new deal, the hotel chain would be able to set up operations in Japan commencing with Resorts World Manila.

Travellers International is a Fil-Hong Kong collaboration between these two companies. Alliance Global Group Inc. and Genting Hong Kong Ltd. represent the Filipino and Hong Kong side respectively. Toshihiro Ogata who is the President of Hotel Okura Co is quite happy and confident about the success of the new hotel.

Hotel Okura has been in the hospitality sector for a very long time, and it will utilise all the experience to turn the hotel into a lovely site for both local as well as foreign travellers. The hotel has carved a niche for itself in the hospitality industry of Japan across all its branches.

According to some early reports, this new project is regarded as one of the grandest ventures of Okura Hotel. The hotel will spread across a vast area of 380,000 square meters with 13 floors. There will be Japanese restaurants and other restaurants serving international cuisines to the visitors. There will be four banquet rooms, a swimming pool on the rooftop and a spa. It is speculated that the hotel will be open to the public by the end of 2018.

Hotel Okura is just one part out of 3 expansion plans of Travellers International venture. In the Resorts World Manila, there would be two other luxury hotel brands namely Sheraton and Hilton. When all the three hotels are constructed, there would be 940 rooms available for accommodation.

This new hotel will be the second expansion of Hotel Okura into a major casino resort in Asia. There is already Hotel Okura Macau constructed in Galaxy Macau casino resort. In addition to this, the Philippines hotel will total up the international portfolio of 100 properties. At the moment, Okura has only 72 features and looking to break more ground shortly.

Both Hotel Okura and Travellers International agreed to the construction back in 2014. The agreement was then made for a hotel in the Entertainment City of Manila. Initially, the plan was to open the hotel in 2018 but has been postponed for two years and will begin in 2020. In spite of repeated delays, Hotel Okura and Travellers International have built a solid partnership.
