The Maxims Casino Club is located in the heart of Kensington and caters to London’s most elite gamblers. Built in 1862, the casino was first known as the Palace Gate House and considered “”a house built for a gentleman by gentlemen””. The traditional atmosphere still remains at Maxims but with a modern twist.
The casino offers all the classic games including American Roulette, Blackjack, and Three-card Poker as well as private rooms for an intimate gaming experience. The restaurant serves Arabic, Chinese and European cuisine and is a favorite spot among members and non-members of the club. There is also a whisky bar, which offers an impressive list of whiskies from all around the world.
Maxims offers an intimate and high-class gaming experience for some of the world’s most affluent gamblers. The gaming floor at Maxims includes 26 gaming tables with American Roulette, Blackjack, Three-card Poker, and other games. Games can be played at various stake levels including high stakes. The staff and dealers are highly professional and able to assist gamblers of all skill levels. The casino is open 24 hours a day.
There are also several private rooms at Maxims including the Kensington Room and the Palace Room that offer comfortable and intimate spaces for private entertainment. These rooms are perfect for private parties or client meetings
In addition to gaming, Maxims is known for its high quality cuisine. The restaurant specializes in Arabic, Chinese and European cuisine that is prepared by specialist international chefs. There is an a-la-carte menu as well as a set Club menu. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list with fine wines and champagne. It is open daily for dinner from 7pm until 3am to both non-members and members of the Casino.
One of the casino’s best secrets is Maxims Whisky Lounge Bar. This is an intimate lounge with a huge collection of whiskies, premium wines and spirits. Whisky lovers will be amazed by the 60 varieties of single malt scotch and Bourbon’s and whiskies from all around the world. The bar is open to both non-members and members from 6pm until late.
The club puts on a number of events throughout the year. Events include holiday celebrations like Christmas, Chinese New Year and Eid-al-Fitr. There are also culinary events like Japanese Whisky Tasting. Updated events are posted on the club website’s events page.
Private poker parties and other private events can be booked by club members. However, you won’t find many tournaments at this casino. Maxims is a club for high-end gambling.
Maxims is a members-only club. However, guests can join by registering with the club. You must be at least 18 to join and have a current ID or passport. The dress code is smart. Like in most exclusive casinos, sportswear and casual attire are not acceptable. The dress code is strictly enforced.
