In the Rabbit Hole Slot Overview

In the Rabbit Hole is a Red Tiger Gaming production that lets you join Alice on her magical Adventures in Wonderland and the chance to hit wacky winnings. This game joins others in our online slot reviews page to cover this theme, including the iconic White Rabbit Megaways™ by Big Time Gaming.

In the Rabbit Hole is a high-volatility slot that has a conventionally 5×3-sized grid which allows you to land winning combinations on 10 paylines on bets ranging from 0.10 and 20. Sadly, the RTP is relatively low, standing at just 95.76%, but it does give you the opportunity to hit maximum wins of 4,200 your stake.

As you might expect, the symbols that appear on the reels are linked to the Alice in Wonderland theme. No characters from the story appear on the reels, but symbols include flowers, clocks, hats, teacups and saucers, and books as the higher-paying icons. These award you between 10x and 100x your stake for five of a kind.

The lower-value symbols are the usual playing card icons — though, in this case, they can still be considered to be themed. These award you between 2x and 5x your bet for five matching icons on a payline.

In the Rabbit Hole Slot Features

In the Rabbit Hole doesn't have any features in the base game. Instead, you find most of the action and the win potential in the Free spins, Win Spins, and Wild Spins.

  • Wild: On this slot, the Wild only appears in the bonus games, where it fulfils its usual symbol-substituting functions. It also pays out on its own, namely 100x your stake for five of a kind.
  • Free Spins: You activate this mode by landing three Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 in the same round. When you do, you receive seven free spins.
  • Win Spins: You trigger this mode when three Win spin symbols appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the last spin in Free Spin mode. When this happens, you are awarded seven Win Spins, which as you can guess from the name, grant you guaranteed wins.
  • Wild Spins: You enter the Wild spins mode when you land three Wild spin symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 in the final Win spins round. Again, you get seven rounds and, in this mode you are guaranteed a win on every spin. In addition, any Wild symbol that appears becomes sticky and remains in position until the mode comes to an end. After the last Wild spin, you’ll be returned to the base game.

To Spin or Not To Spin?

Like the story that inspired it, In the Rabbit Hole looks cute and full of wonder. However, this is just appearance, as the combination of a low RTP and high volatility plus a meagre maximum win make the delivery of magical winnings rather unlikely. The high volatility is not appealing to low-rollers and the low maximum win is not likely to entice high-risk players.

Despite the slot's theme, there is little wackiness going on in terms of the game's design, features, or even graphics, which, especially from Red Tiger, is a great opportunity missed.
