Cascading Reels & Mighty Ways
If you follow our Megaways™ slots list religiously, then you’ll certainly be familiar with the cascading reels mechanic. However, this time around, we’re seeing it paired up with Light & Wonder’s original Mighty Ways engine, which leads to a different, more rewarding outcome.
As opposed to Megaways™ slots, which feature between 64-117,649 ways to win, in 300 Shields Mighty Ways, the starting number of ways to win is 729 and the maximum is 262,144.
The cascading reels feature will come to play after one or more winning combinations. The symbols involved explode and get removed from the reels, as new ones fall from above in their place. The mechanism continues as long as new winning combinations hit, so you can get consecutive payouts on the same spin.
So far so good, but here is where things get interesting: for each symbol that is part of a win, the reel it falls on increases in height by one. Each reel can hold a maximum of eight symbols, at which point you’ll activate 262,144 ways to win (8x8x8x8x8x8).
Do keep in mind that the reels will be reverted to the three symbols height between the base game and the free spins.
Free Games
The game’s scatter or bonus symbol is the shield. To trigger the Free Games feature, you’ll need at least three shield symbols in any position on the reels, and you’ll be rewarded as such:

- Four shields – seven free games
